Levi Diener

Levi E. Diener, 93 of Omro, died Saturday February 17, 2007 at the Omro Care Center. He was born in the Town of Scott on May 18, 1913 the son of Frank and Emma Emily Diener. He married Emma Gunther on August 5, 1944. She preceded him in death on November 13, 1994.Levi graduated in 1935 from the University of Wisconsin Dairy School as a Cheese maker. He had been employed by Carver Ice Cream and by the Oshkosh Correctional Institution. He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.He is survived by two daughters, Diana (James) Lipke of Winneconne, WI, and Virginia (Larry) Hinz of Van Dyne, WI, five grandchildren, Teresa (Jim) Ogden, Scott Lipke, Christine Lipke, Aaron (Carla) Hinz, and Barbara (Keith) Beuscher, a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Beuscher, one step granddaughter, Cindy Briggs, a sister, Norma Rilling of Hales Corners, WI, and a sister-in-law, Ruth Diener of Milwaukee, WI. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Briggs and, four brothers, Harvey, Herbert, Harold, and Ellis Diener.His funeral will be Thursday February 22, 2007 at 11:30 AM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside with the Rev. Paul Lidtke officiating. Burial will be in the Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service. A memorial to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church has been established.
