Linda Lou Oien

Linda Lou Oien, 63 of Oshkosh, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, May 12, 2011. Lynn was born on January 17, 1948 in Oshkosh to Raymond and Mildred Leet Rost. She attended Lourdes High School before moving to Milwaukee, WI when she turned 18. There she met and married Robert Oien on October 21, 1966 and they headed out West. They returned to Oshkosh in 1973 to be near family. Westhaven became home in 1976 and Lynn spent the rest of her life in a house on Ardmore Trail. Lynn loved all the people she used to meet as a cashier at Copps and later at County Market. The front end of Cub Foods never ran better than when Lynn was running it! As a volunteer at the Christine Ann Center she helped and touched many lives.Grandmother, Linda Lou loved spending time with her grandchildren anytime she could. Memories made at Flanigans Pearl Lake Campground in Red Granite, WI will be with us always. She also loved traveling being in the sun, Lifetime, and spending time with her friends and family.Lynn is survived by her husband, Robert Oien of Oshkosh; son, Stanley (Vanessa) Oien of Hawthorn Woods, IL; daughter, Christine (Brian) Kolaske of Sturtevant, WI; her mother, Mildred Guetschow; sisters, Patricia Rost, Arlene (Bradley) Bowen of Oshkosh, Lorraine Rost of Ripon, WI, Barbara (Ray) Weitz of Stevens Point, Paula Rost of Oshkosh; brothers, Richard Rost of Oshkosh, Howard (Wally) Rost of Oshkosh, Gerald (Sue) Rost of Pickett, WI; grandchildren, Karlyne Ishima-Oien of California, Logan, Alyson, and Kyra Kolaske of Sturtevant, WI; and sisters/in/law, Janet (Stan) Naylor of Idaho, and Diane Morgan of Tennessee. A memorial service for Lynn will held on Monday May 16, 2011 at 6:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside with the Rev. Thomas McFarland officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 3:00 PM until the time of the service. A memorial to the Christine Ann Center has been established.
