Lon E Marto

Lon E. Marto, age 35, of Oshkosh passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 27, 2006. He was born on November 25, 1970 in Plymouth, WI, to his always loving and supporting parents, John and Jean (Burkel) Marto. On April 7, 2001 Lon married his best friend and soul mate, Barb Nolte in Oshkosh. He became a wonderful dad and friend to his step son Kyle. Together they enjoyed everything life had to offer. Most important to Lon were the people in his life. He used his gifted mechanical skills, his sense of humor and compassionate heart to touch the lives of all those around him.He spent many hours playing, laughing and having fun. In the homes of his family there are remembrances of Lon through all of the woodcrafts he has created, remodeling projects completed and those projects just begun. His most recent passion was riding and refurbishing his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Lon was employed by CRT.Survivors include his wife, Barb; step son, Kyle Summerville; parents, John (Jean) Marto; sister, Amy (Duane) Buelow; father-in-law, William (Judy) Nolte; mother-in-law, Pat Bird; brothers-in-law, Michael Bird; and Ken (Abby) Cravillion, Oshkosh; sister-in-law, Kim (Brent) Crubaugh, AZ; a nephew, Cameron Buelow; and a niece, Cassandra Buelow all of Oshkosh. Lon was preceded in death by his grandparents.Services for Lon will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home – Westside with the Rev. Chuck Fluegel officiating. Family and friends may call at the Lake Pointe Drive funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the service time. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial has been established.
