Lorna Mae Davis

Lorna M. Davis, 81, of Oshkosh, died on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Eden Meadows. Lorna was born in Oshkosh on February 19, 1932 the daughter of the late Mathew and Mayme Cox Gietzen. She married Robert A. Davis on May 15, 1951 in Oshkosh. Robert preceded her in death in 1988.They were inseparable for 39 years except for 2 years during the Korean War. Lorna graduated from Nordheim School in 1948 and Oshkosh High School in 1950. She worked at Matts Sport Shop and the Telephone Co. and then stayed at home to raise her two boys. Later she worked at Fernaus Greenhouse and Miles Kimball.Lorna is survived by her sons, Gary (Kim) Davis, Terry (Sandy) Davis; grandchildren, Loni (Jay) Resch, Michelle (David) Wurst, Beth (Seth) Smith, Matthew, Mitchell and Mallory Davis, Mark (Melissa) Groeschel; great grandchildren, Alexis and Nicole Resch, Hailey, Corinna, Taylor and Seth Jr. Smith, Maxwell and Miles Groeschel, Katrianna and Seth Henry; cousins, Don (Jean) Gietzen, Ethel Peterson, Florence Middleton and Genevieve Worden; brothers-in-law, Jim (Ruth) Davis and Tom Davis; nieces and nephews. Make your dad and I happy by you being happy. She was very appreciative of all her family and friends for all their help and prayers. Lornas family would like to thank the entire staff at Eden Meadows Rehabilitation Suites and the Aurora Hospice Team for the excellent care she received.The funeral service will be on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Eastside) with the Rev. Barry Yarbro officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
