Lorna M. Edwards, 93 of Oshkosh, passed away on Saturday, September 24th, 2022 at Gabriel’s Villa. She was born on May 22nd, 1929 in Oshkosh to the late Walter and Martha (Wendtland) Fuhs. On August 30th, 1952 she was married to Oliver “Bud the Barber” Edwards Jr.

She worked as a secretary at Perry Tipler Middle School for many years. She volunteered at many places throughout her life. She was part of the Bethel Auxiliary for 40 years, she also volunteered for the Oshkosh Horticultural Society, the Oshkosh Public Library, the Paine Art Center and Gardens, The Grand Opera House, Peace Lutheran Church as well as All Saints Lutheran Church.

Lorna is survived by her husband, Bud Edwards; daughter, Linda (Jim) Mollon and their son, Brady; Karen (Steve) Ellingson and their son, Eric, and daughter, Kristin (Joe) Trongard great-grandchildren, Josephine, Mavis, Arthur and Vincent; son, James Edwards; daughter, Julie (Tim) Blume and their sons Nathan and Kevin, and daughter, Sarah; brother, David (Jeanne) Fuhs; sister-in-law, Ruth Harber. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lorna was preceded in death by her in-laws, Oliver Sr. and Marie Edwards.

Per Lorna’s wishes, a private service will be held at Lake View Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.

We would like to thank the staff and nurses of Gabriel’s Villa in Oshkosh for all their care and compassion. In the five months they were there, they were able to celebrate mom’s 93rd birthday, dad’s 99th birthday and their 70th wedding anniversary.
