Lorraine E. Roob

Lorraine E. Roob, age 89 of Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017 surrounded by family. She was born on March 5, 1928 the daughter of the late Edward and Maude (Cronk) Freiberg. She was united in marriage to Kenneth M. Roob on February 14, 1948 in Oshkosh. Their marriage was blessed with 5 children. Lorraine was an active member at St. Josaphat Catholic Church. She loved pets especially Rex, Zodi, Peanut and Porkchop. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.
Lorraine is survived by her children: Kay (Greg) Stewart of Fond du Lac, Mary (Richard) Capen of Oshkosh, Thomas (Nancy) Roob of Oshkosh, Peggy (Deano) Stefanac of Menomonee Falls, and John (Suzanne) Roob of Winneconne; five grandchildren: Amy and Eric Stewart, Brian (Martha) Haynes, Laura (James) Prange, and Krista Roob; one great-grandson, Jacob Stewart; one sister, Dorothy Jungwirth; she is further survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, one infant sister, Mary Etta, two brothers: Edward “Pud” (Lorraine) Freiberg and Robert (Beatrice) Freiberg, and one brother-in-law, Florian “Sonny” Jungwirth.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Most Blessed Sacrament, St. Peter site, 435 High Ave. Oshkosh. Friends and Family may visit at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
The Family would like to thank the caregivers at Sharehaven for all their wonderful care that was given to Lorraine. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
