Lucille Ida Nowicki

Lucille (Lucy) Binsfeld Nowicki, age 88, entered eternal life on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. She was born on April 13, 1928, daughter of the late Michael A. and Julia (Koeppel) Binsfeld, in the town of Woodville, Calumet County, the last surviving member of the family.On June 16, 1953, she was united in marriage to Ralph Nowicki at St. John the Baptist Church, St. John, WI. He preceded her in death on September 18, 1995. A graduate of Kaukauna High School, class of 1947, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the College of St. Teresa, Winona, MN, and a Master of Science degree in Teaching from the University of WI Oshkosh. Lucille was an educator in the Oshkosh Area School District until illness interrupted her teaching career. Remembering her with special love include her two daughters: Mary (Richard) Hansen and Elizabeth Nowicki, Oshkosh; two grandchildren: Erik Hansen and Elsa Hansen; nieces, nephews, their children, other relatives and friends.In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille is preceded in death by her sisters: Florence Propson, Frances Juckem, Veronica Beyer and Regina Schaeuble; her brothers: Edward, Mark, Alfred, Herbert, and Michael J. Binsfeld; in-laws: Ellen Vanden Heuvel Binsfeld Gloudemans, Helen Cerveny Binsfeld, Randolph Propson, LeRoy Juckem, Harland Beyer, and Carlton Schaeuble. The family wishes to thank relatives and friends for their prayers, and Lucilles physicians for the excellent care she received over the years, especially Dr. Jack Grandone and Dr. Edward Lake. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 519 Knapp Street, Oshkosh, WI with the Very Reverend Mathew Simonar officiating on Monday, February 6, 2017. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Oshkosh, immediately following the Mass.She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed. She will be remembered always and forever loved by her family.
