Ludwig Engelmann

Ludwig Engelmann, 86 of Oshkosh, died at Park View Health Center on Wednesday, July 12, 2006. He was born in Yugoslavia, on February 11, 1920, a son of Stefan and Anna Engelmann. Ludwig married Anna Kister on February 5, 1944 in Germany.Ludwig learned the trade of cabinet maker, and served with the German Army. After his marriage and birth of two of his children, he immigrated with his family to America, settling in Oshkosh. Ludwig became a member of Peace Lutheran Church. He had been employed as a cabinet maker with Robert Brand Co. and C.E. Morgan Co. until his retirement.Survivors include his wife, Anna, Oshkosh; a son, Gunther (Mary) Engelmann, Oshkosh; two daughters, HeideMarie (Dennis) Greeninger, Oshkosh; and Karin (Jim) Marshall, Cantonment, FL; one brother, Adam Engelmann, Milwaukee; seven grandchildren, Eric, Ann, Kristine, Brian, Lisa, Nathan, Keith; and six great grandchildren, Alec, Kyle, Cole, Carson, Isabelle, and Emily. Ludwig was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Stefan Engelmann, and one sister, Anna Schulz.Funeral services will be held at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Eastside on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 11:30 AM. with Rev. Chuck Flugel officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 AM to the time of service. Interment will be at Peace Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
