Lynn Wegner

Lynn C. Wegner, age 80 of Oshkosh, passed away at Ascension Mercy Medical Center on Thursday, August 3, 2023. She was born in Oshkosh on February 4, 1943 to the late Henry and Dorothy (Stodardt) Johnson.

Lynn worked for United Cerebral Palsy for many years. She was loving, and kind but could also have a sassy side. She enjoyed shopping, especially going to flea markets and farmers markets, and for many years, looked forward to attending the Oshkosh Sawdust Days.

Lynn is survived by her sons, James Wegner and Richard “Rick” (Charlotte Schmoll) Wegner; grandchildren, Bryce Wegner, Seth (Fiancée Gabby) Wegner, Lucas Wegner, Justin Wegner, Ryan Wegner, Ashley Werdin and Megan Hershberger, RJ and Tony Olsen; great grandchildren, Liam and Vayda; siblings, Janice (Jim) Ponzer, Doreen (Dale) Bonfigt, Jeffery Johnson; sister-in-law, Barbara Johnson; nieces and nephews, Jen and Jacob Graykowski, Melissa Cushman, Brenda and Aaron Johnson, Nichole, Stephanie and Sara Ponzer, Teresa Mets, Paul, Tamara and Nathan Zutz.

In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by infant grandson, Brandon Wegner; siblings, Pat (Carl) Hazelwood, Richard “Dick” Johnson, Kathy (Dennis) Graykowski; nephew and nieces, Benjamin Ponzer, Toni and Tamy Barfell.

Per Lynn’s wishes, direct burial will take place on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 1:30 PM.

The Wegner family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the staff of Mercy Medical Center and Compassus Hospice, especially Stephanie, for the loving care provided to Lynn during her time in their care.
