Mabel H Moon

Mabel H. (nee Neumann) Moon, 82, of Oshkosh, died Thursday Aug. 31, 2006 at Evergreen Retirement Community-Creekview. She was born in Oshkosh on December 19, 1923 the daughter of Walter and Della Jorgenson Neumann. On Dec. 8, 1945 she married James Moon in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1998.Mabel was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, the Algoma Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary; she was a 4-H leader for many years, a member of the Senior Citizens Center and Lake Side quilters. She was an excellent seamstress and quilter, employed by CA Neuburger, Oshkosh BGosh, and Singer Sewing Center.Mabel is survived by her three children, Janet(Al) Schaick, Glenn Moon, John(Debbie) Moon all of Oshkosh; one brother, Russell Neumann; eight grandchildren Greg(Jenny) Moon of Brown Deer, Mike(Christine) Moon of Salem, Christopher Moon of Neenah, Teri Moon of Oshkosh, Kim Kenfield of Appleton, Becky Andrews of Key West, Fl., Jamie (Joyce) Moon of Oshkosh, James Kenfield of Chicago, eight great-grandchildren Brennan Andrews of Okemos, MI., Corbin, Connor, Jordan Moon all of Salem, Kaitlyn, Alexa Moon both of Brown Deer, Ryan, Caden Moon both of Oshkosh, two brother-in-laws Warren Moon of Oshkosh, Gerald(Joanne) Moon of Omro, two sisters-in-law Jane(Russell) Larson, Dolly Neumann both of Oshkosh, and special friend Stanley Sperger of Omro. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Ervin and Donald Neumann.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel United Church of Christ (1306 Michigan Street) with Rev. R. David Gaskill officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.A memorial has been established.The family would like to thank the staff at Evergreen Retirement Community- Creekview and Aurora Hospice
