Malcolm R. Wayne (Buddha), age 78, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at The Waterford of Oshkosh. He was born on December 6, 1937 in Oak Park, Illinois the son of the late Raymond and Bertha (Benson) Wengierski. He graduated from high school at Morgan Park Military Academy. Malcolm proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 to 1960. He was united in marriage to Suzanne Smith on November 10, 1962, which is the Marine Corps Birthday, in River Forest, IL. Their marriage was blessed with four children. Malcolm, Suzanne and their family lived for boating from the early days in Fox Lake, IL, where he was also part of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, to more recent times taking many long trips on Lake Michigan. The family also snowmobiled together from the early 1960s until just a few years ago, teaching snowmobile safety courses to hundreds of kids along the way. Before retiring to Gods Country in Three Lakes, WI in 2008, Malcolm was in Sales and Management with great companies including Black and Decker, Casio and Skipper Buds Marina. Malcolms passion for work and play was contagious to all lucky enough to be around him. His motto was Work Hard and Play Harder. Malcolm is survived by his beloved wife, Sue of 53 years; Four children: Debra (Brian) Pahnke of Gladstone, MI, Guy (Dawn) Wayne of Altoona, WI, Sandy Wayne of Madison, WI and Donna (Steve) LaCroix of Oshkosh, WI; Six grandchildren: Alexandra Pahnke, Taylor Pahnke, Jake Wayne, Jordan Mueller, Haille and Sydney LaCroix; one brother, Timothy (Patti) Wengierski and one brother-in-law, Tim Gurrie (Karen); He is further survived by nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Mary Jo Gurrie.Memorial service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive. Friends and Family may visit at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service.In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to the Alzheimers Foundation.Malcolms family wishes to extend a special thank you to The Waterford of Oshkosh and Heartland Hospice Care for their wonderful care that was given to Malcolm and his family. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
