Marcia L. Vanschaick

November 24, 1951 — April 15, 2022

Marcia L. VanSchaick, age 70, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh with her family by her side.

Marcia was born in Chicago to the late Stan and Shirley (Levey) Samuels on November 24th, 1951. She was raised in Skokie, IL and graduated from Niles North High School in 1969 and received a degree in Respiratory Therapy; beginning her career at Rush University Medical Center in downtown Chicago. After meeting the love of her life, Clint VanSchaick, on a blind date, they united in marriage on July 4, 1986, in Gages Lake, IL. They moved to Oshkosh, WI in 1990 and she worked majority of her career in Medical Records at Aurora Medical Center.

Her greatest passions in life were her Chicago sports teams (Bears, Cubs, Bulls, Blackhawks), her daughter and her grandchildren. If you talked to her, these would be her favorite topics of conversation. It is safe to say the Chicago Bears lost their #1 fan and their games will be a whole lot quieter to anyone watching at The Bar. She was so proud of her daughter, Randi, and loved to tell anyone who would listen about her pride and joy. That love trickled onto her grandkids, Kaiden and Rylee as they were her whole world. She loved to spoil them and her days were made with every call and FaceTime.

Marcia is survived by her husband of almost 36 years, Clint VanSchaick; daughter, Randi (William) Gutschick; grandchildren: Kaiden and Rylee Gutschick; brother, Michael (Julie) Samuels; nieces: Elisabeth (Liz) and Sarah Emily Samuels; and the Horn Family. She was further preceded in death by her parents, Stan and Shirley Samuels; father and mother-in-law, Howard and Doris VanSchaick; cousin, Carol Horn; grandmother, Rose Kern; and her dog, Buddy.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery in Arlington Heights, IL.
