Marcia R. Konrad

Marcia Rae Konrad, age 75, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2023. She was born October 16, 1947, in DePere to the late Arnold and Eileen Bocher. In 1952, the family moved to Oshkosh where Marcia and her siblings grew up.

Marcia met her husband, Steve Konrad, in chemistry class at Oshkosh High School, where they both graduated in 1965. Steve and Marcia were married on June 28th, 1969, and had four children: Katie, Elizabeth, Matt, and Bob. Marcia earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education. She spent 27 years teaching in the Oshkosh Area School District; however, her favorite job was stay-at-home mom.

Marcia enjoyed spending time with her children, traveling with her siblings, reading, shopping, and spending time with her friends. She also enjoyed volunteering at St. Andrews Lutheran Church as a choir mom, lector, member of accounting team, Sunday school teacher, and helped with Feeding Oshkosh Children. She also volunteered at Mercy Medical Center and Davis Day Care where she rocked babies.

Marcia’s wit, wisdom, and love will dearly missed by her children, Katie, Matt, and Bob (Leslie); her siblings, Bob Bocher (Mary O’Conner), Judy (Bill) Klewin, and Lynne Petr; and her five nieces and nephew.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Steve, and her daughter, Elizabeth.

A service will be held at St Andrew’s Lutheran Church (1100 E Murdock Ave) on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 11AM. A time of visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of service.
