Margaret J. Stephens, 89, of Oshkosh, died Monday March 2, 2009 at her residence. She was born May 17, 1919 in LaCrosse a daughter of Charles and Nellie Bogard Swords. She married Franklin Trier and he preceded her in death in 1967. She then married Louis Stephens and he preceded her in death in 1993.She worked for the telephone company for 36 years in payroll. She was a member of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church.She is survived by two daughters Jane(Jack) Larson of Chicago, Cora(Charles) Fleck of Oshkosh, two step sons John Trier of Arizona, Thomas Trier of California, three step daughters Nancy Ann Trier of Green Bay, Mary Reger of Milwaukee, Margaret(Fred) Weibel of California, 13 grandchildren Michael Trier, David Trier, Terrie Deane, Chris Trier, Alie Esche, John Reger, Cathy Kirby, Richard Reger, Stephen Weibel, Lynn Peterson, Adam(Katie) Larson, Kay(Chris) Shea, Patricia Wohlt, and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Joseph and Donald, two sisters Marie Schmidt and Kathleen Smithlin and one granddaughter Sara Melton. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday March 6, 2009 at 11 am at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church with Rev. Jason Blahnik officiating. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
