Margaret Jane Wahlgren

Margaret J. Marge Wahlgren, age 92 of Oshkosh, died at Bethel Home on Monday October 10, 2011. She was born in Oshkosh on June 21, 1919, a daughter of the late Alvin and Hazel Webster Hoppe. Marge married Harold A. Wahlgren on November 16, 1940 in Oshkosh. Harold preceded her in death on June 1, 2000.Marge was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church. She retired as the head of the dietary department at Oshkosh Care Center. Marge was a charter member of the Womens Division of Oshkosh, a past board member of the Miss Wisconsin Pageant and a longtime volunteer with Cerebral Palsy of Mideast Wisconsin.Survivors include one son, Steve (Heidi) Wahlgren, of Omro; one daughter, Susan Reinhardt, of Oshkosh; four grandchildren, Sheila (Ronald) Manney, of Oshkosh; Michael (Amy) Reinhardt, of Oshkosh; Sydney Wahlgren, of Omro; Max Wahlgren, of Omro and two great grandchildren, Zach Manney and Dylan Manney, both of Oshkosh; and her beloved canine companion, Moe. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold and son-in-law Carl Reinhardt.Funeral services will be held in the chapel at Bethel Home (225 N. Eagle St.) on Monday October 17, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. with Chaplain David Rumbold and Cathie Vander Velden officiating. Family and friends may call at the chapel on Monday from 11:30 a.m. to the time of service. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Cerebral Palsy of Mideast Wisconsin.Special thanks to the staff of 1W and all the other staff at Bethel Home for the care given to Marge during her stay.
