Marian Alberta Tucker

Marian Alberta Tucker, 91, of Oshkosh, died at Alten Haus in Neenah on Wednesday, January 5, 2011. Marian was born in Oshkosh on December 21, 1919 a daughter of the late John and Emma (Bunke) Esslinger. On February 2, 1942 she married Hobart A. Tucker in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2002.Marian was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church and had worked at Mondel Manufacturing. She enjoyed playing Sheepshead weekly and was proficient in Shorthand. Marian always put her family first, was a devoted wife and homemaker.Survivors include her son, Steven (Lynn) Tucker of Green Bay; her daughter, Lynette (Clifford) Bird of Wausaukee; a brother, Kenneth Esslinger of Oshkosh; a sister, Doris Matulle of Oshkosh; her grand children, Scott (Allison) Donker of St. George, Utah, Sheri Kuehl of Oshkosh; her great grand children, Brandon Lalk and Jake, Hannah, Jason and Jesse Donker. Along with her husband, Marian was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Walter and David Esslinger and two sisters, Anita Walter and Dorothea Tootie Walter.Funeral services for Marian will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home - Westside (100 Lake Pointe Drive) with the Pastor Jim Downs officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of service. Entombment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. Memorials, in Marians name to Heartland Hospice (63 W Pioneer Road, Fond du Lac, WI 54935) would be appreciated.Marians family would like to send special thanks to Alten Haus and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care.
