Marion E. Driessen, 83 of Oshkosh, died Wednesday April 18, 2007 at the Baycare Medical Center in Green Bay. She was born in Oshkosh on March 9, 1924 the daughter of Richard and Irene Timmermann Rothenbach.On January 18, 1947 she married Floyd Ducky Driessen in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on September 28, 2001.Marion was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. She had been employed by the Visiting Nurses and Dr. Becker for many years. She also had been employed by the Banner Store. She was a longtime volunteer for the Mercy Medical Center and worked in the Gift Shop. She enjoyed knitting and made many items for churches.Marion is survived by her daughter, Barbara Weber of Lodi, WI; son, Michael (special friend-Doreen Slife) Driessen of Oshkosh; granddaughter, Jennifer Weber of Washington D.C.; brother, Ralph (Mara) Rothenbach of Eagle River, WI; brother-in-law, Leo Driessen of Kaukauna, WI; sister-in-law, Lois Rothenbach of Oshkosh, nieces, and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Russ Rothenbach.Her funeral will be on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Noon at the Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jeffrey Knoll officiating. Burial will be at Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. A memorial has been established. Marions family would like to express special thanks to Marions friends and neighbors for being tirelessly there to provide rides and other help.
