Marion E. Sibley

Marion E. Sibley, age 89, of Oshkosh, died at her home on Monday July 24, 2006 after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born in Oshkosh on April 13, 1917 to the late Charles and Eunice Bickford Clarke. On September 14, 1935 she married Marvin C. Sibley. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1970.Marion had been employed by the Oshkosh Public School System. She retired in 1984 from the North High School. Over the years Marion had been involved in extensive volunteer work, and enjoyed many various activities, especially playing the organ.Marion is survived by her children, Warren (Mary Ann) Sibley, Carol Sibley, and Mary Sibley, her grandchildren, Lori (Allen) Budzien, and Jeff Sibley, and a special friend, Sue Rhyner, whom she embraced as a daughter. She is also survived by a niece, Ellen (Gary) Lake, and their children Sarah and Ryan, and special friends, Kathy Dahlke, and Jeanne Jacobs. Marion was also preceded in death by her brother, Emory Clarke and sister/in/law, Eunice, and grandson, Rick Sibley.Her funeral will be Thursday July 27, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside with the Rev. Ralph DiBiasio-Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate that memorials be directed to the Affinity Visiting Nurses Hospice Services, 816 Winneconne Avenue, Neenah WI 54956.The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all her loving caregivers for their unselfish love, support and friendship, and also to the Affinity Hospice staff for their support and services, especially to Kristen Fieldhack.
