Marlyn M. Herrle

Marlyn M. Herrle, age 80, of Oshkosh, died at her home on Monday, October 17, 2011. She was born in Oshkosh on July 2, 1931,a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Nigl Celichowski. She married Norman Herrle on September 29, 1951, in Oshkosh. Marlyn attended St. Josaphat School, Merrill Middle School and graduated from Oshkosh High School. She retired from the Oshkosh School System after 25 years where she was secretary for the director of special education. Marlyn was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, attending Mass at St. Marys Church. She was an active volunteer at church, as Communion Minister to shut-ins and serving on the funeral luncheon committee. Marlyn also volunteered at Fr. Carrs Place 2B. She was a great cook, a golfer, and an avid dancer as a member of the Edgewater Dance Club and the Legion on the Lake Dance Club.Survivors include her husband Norman of Oshkosh; two sons, Gregory N. (Jeanne) Herrle of Brookfield, WI and Brian S. (Myra) Herrle of Basking Ridge, NJ; one brother, Robert (Barbara) Celichowski of Marion, IA; one sister, Joan (Stephen) Suhm of Oshkosh; four grandchildren, Gregory J. (Ruth) Herrle of Pewaukee, Sarah J. Herrle, Brookfield; Alejandro Alex Herrle and Maria Isabel Herrle both of Basking Ridge, NJ.; four sisters-in-law, Nancy Celichowski of Fond du Lac; June Kallin of Oshkosh; Bette (Harry) Allen of San Diego, CA; and Beattie Weddell of Roseberg, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Richard Celichowski and one nephew, Bradley Celichowski.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Marys Church (605 Merritt Ave.) on Friday, October 21,2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. James Jugenheimer officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Catholic Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established
