Martha Lou Johnson

Martha L. Johnson, 83, Oshkosh, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016. She was born October 19, 1932, daughter of Frank and Bessie (Yount) Niemuth. On November 4, 1966, Martha married Richard Johnson, and he preceded her in death October 2, 1992. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Carlsons Foods for 29 years prior to her retirement. Martha was a member of The Potters House, in Appleton, where she loved growing in her relationship with her Lord. She enjoyed reading her Bible and sharing the news of Jesus with all people she met, and she loved spending time with her family. They meant everything to her. Martha is survived by her children: Kathy (Jim) Beck and Mark (Connie) Hyler; a son-in-law, John Nigl; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Hyler; grandchildren: Jack (Stacy) Clark, Paul (Karen) Wojciechowski, Joel (Jen) Wojciechowski, Eric (Jennifer) Nigl, Kurt (special friend Jenny) Nigl, Jill (Andy) Sawicki, Kenneth G. III Hyler, Tracy (fianc Keith) Hyler, Joe Hyler, and Tina (special friend Zak) Hyler; great grandchildren: Ashley, Brittany, Ivan, Meeka, Levi, Milo, Colin, Ella, Andrew, Kayla, Meadow, Silas, Jordan, and Stella; a brother, Benjamin Benny (Patty) Niemuth.In addition to her husband, Martha was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Karen Nigl; a son, Kenneth G. Chief Hyler; a son-in-law, Jack Clark; a great granddaughter, Marley Blue; a brother, Marvin (Helen) Niemuth; and a special friend, Bernie Zentner.Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2016, at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home Eastside (402 Waugoo Avenue, Oshkosh), with Jim Stadler officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. Sunday until the time of the service.Marthas family would like to thank the staffs of The Waterford and Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care given toward mom.
