Marvin Herman Laabs

Marvin H. Laabs, age 70, passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Aurora Medical Center. He was born on November 17, 1943, in Oshkosh, WI, to the late William and Elsie (Weiland) Laabs. He married Barbara Diemel on September 12, 1970 in Oshkosh. They divorced in 1982.Marvin worked at the Coca-Cola bottling plant for 38 years as a truck loader.He enjoyed doing the lottery always having a scratch off or trying to win the big bucks. He also liked to do his puzzles, bowl, watch the Packers, as well as all the other Wisconsin sports.He is survived by his sons, Scott (Lisa) and Todd Laabs; brothers, Raymond (Sandy), Lester (Barb), and Lawrence (Cindy) Laabs; a brother-in-law, Robert Pollack; and four grandchildren, Braden, Adam, Madelyn, and Kaylee Laabs.He is also survived by a special friend Doris Kasarsky and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marilyn Pollack.A funeral service for Marvin will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes- Eastside (402 Waugoo Ave.) with Rev. Jason Brenenstuhl officiating.Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
