Mary Bartosic

Mary Lois Bartosic age 85 of Oshkosh, died at her home on Wednesday February 29, 2012 with her family at her side. She was born on April 5, 1926 a daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Sierke Bartosic.She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Neal and Dean Bartosic; sister-in-law Ragna Bartosic and a nephew, Dr. Bruce Heyl.Mary graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marquette University receiving a BS Degree in Nursing. She was employed as Director of Nursing Education at Winnebago State Hospital. Mary taught Psychiatric Nursing and served as quality assurance for hospital accreditation. She loved music, the opera, the arts and her church. She served as a sacristan at her church.Mary is survived by her sister Phyllis Bartosic Jelich of Milwaukee; sister-in-law Joanne Bartosic of Ashland, OH; nieces and nephews, Diana Heyl, Richard Bartosic, Jeff (Mary Rose) Bartosic, Susan (William) Owens, Lisa (John) McGarrity, Julie (Charles) Floyd, David (Diane) Bartosic, Mary Jan Magill, Dan (Pam) Bartosic, John (Laura) Bartosic, Mike (Kelly) Bartosic, Father Mark Bartosic, Tom Bartosic, Mary Margaret (Thomas) Czisny, Michael Jelich, Rebecca (Richard) Strauss, Lucia Fischer; special friend David Bedore and many loving, cherished grand nieces nephews and friends.A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by Rev. James Jugenheimer and Rev. Mark Bartosic on Saturday March 3, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Marys church (605 Merritt Ave.). Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM to the time of Mass. Interment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.A memorial has been established for the students at St. Francis of Rome School at 1428 S. 59th St. Cicero, IL 60804. This is the parish where Fr. Mark Bartosic is the parish priest.
