Mary Elizabeth Lotz

Mary Elizabeth Lotz, 90, of Oshkosh, died February 25, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on February 27, 1925 the daughter of the late Edward and Eleanor (Kearns) Donahoe. She married Allen E. Lotz in Milwaukee on August 14, 1948. He preceded her in death on May 9, 1967.Mary attended Portage High School and graduated from West Division High School in Milwaukee in 1943. Later she attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in December 1980 with a bachelors degree in journalism. Mary was a member of St. Josaphats Church and later St. Jude the Apostle. She was an active member of St. Josaphats Parish Womens Society, Mercy Medical Center Auxiliary, the Twentieth Century Club of Oshkosh and a bowling league at Shore View Lanes in Oshkosh. Mary volunteered for the Oshkosh Public Library, delivering books to the homebound.Mary is survived by her children Michael, of Oshkosh and Marsha, of Homewood, IL; brother, Edward Donahoe, of Lake Barrington, IL; brother-in-law, Verne (Donna) Lotz, of Rapid City, SD; many nieces and nephews.Mary was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sister, Colleen Brooks.A Mass of Christian burial for Mary will be at St. Jude the Apostle Parish- St. Vincent Church (1225 Oregon St; Oshkosh, WI) on Wednesday March 2, 2016 at 12:00 (noon). Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Fr. Matt Simonar will be officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.A special thank you to Preferred Home Health Care, Clarity Care and to all those who helped and served Mary.
