Mary Helen Mueller

January 16, 1920 — April 29, 2010

Mary H. Mueller, 90, of Oshkosh died Thursday April 29, 2010 at Aurora Medical Center. She was born January 16, 1920 in Stillwater, MN the daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Johnson) Logan. Mary married George E. Mueller on April 8, 1950 in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death on February 22, 1989. Mary was one of the first speech and language teacher/therapist in Oshkosh being a remedial reading teacher at Jefferson School for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Womens Voters, Oshkosh Senior, Literacy Council, ABC(A Better Chance program) and numerous bridge groups. She served two terms on the school board from 1962 until 1968 and did a radio show in the 1940's for WBAY in Green Bay. Her survivors include a daughter, Sherry L.(Mike Miller) Mueller of Oshkosh; two sons, George C. (Annette) Mueller of Germantown and James L. Mueller of Green Bay; a sister-in-law, Molly Logan of Illinois; seven grandchildren, Maren, James, Khaled, Youcef, Sydney, Hannah, and Emily; a niece, Clare; and two nephews, David and John. She was preceded in death by a brother Jim Logan and a infant grandson Mathew Ryan Mueller A memorial service for Mary will be held Tuesday May 4, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Rev. Steven Kaehr officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
