Melvin Carl Koehn

Melvin C. Koehn, 83, of Garden Grove, CA, formerly of Oshkosh, died Tuesday, August 1, 2006, at Anaheim Memorial Hospital. He was born October 6, 1922, in Oshkosh, a son of Charles and Laura Ziebell Koehn. On February 19, 1944, he married Caroline Patzlaff in Oshkosh. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired as a purchasing agent for the City of Newport Beach, CA. He was currently a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Santa Ana, and a past member of First English Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. He was a member of T.P.A., Oshkosh Chapter, since 1955.He is survived by his wife of 62 1/2 years, Caroline, two daughters, Sandra Ray of Fullerton, CA, Carol Zarda of Leesburg, VA, three sisters, Margaret Schneider of Oshkosh, Lorraine Bloechl of Oshkosh, Mildred (William) Weitz of Oshkosh, one brother, Carl Koehn of Milwaukee, four grandchildren, David (Cathy) Zarda of Corona, CA, Tracy (Dan) Lader of Bethesda, MD, Nathan Ray of Fullerton, CA, Crista Coleman of Fullerton, CA, three great-grandchildren, Marissa Zarda, Matthew Coleman, Ian Lader, one step-great-grandchild, Jordyn, and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 7, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-East, with Rev. Ralph Hanusa officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2006, at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m., and again on Monday one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery.Memorials may be made to Oshkosh Area Humane Society, 1925 Shelter Court, Oshkosh, Wisconsin 54901.
