Michael J. Geffers, 59 Oshkosh died at his home on Sunday, February 3, 2008. He was born in Oshkosh on April 8, 1948 a son of the late Herbert and Anita Behn Geffers.Michael was well known in Oshkosh for his Sunday newspaper corner at Washington Ave. and Main St. for over 40 years. He was greatly loved by all little kids and enjoyed attending Calvary Mission Center Church and nursing homes with his brother Richard and his sister-in-law Geri. Mike liked to read and write poetry. Mike was a quiet man who wasnt afraid to put his saving faith in action. Doing Gods work was very important to him and living his life pleasing to God in his own way. His goal was to make people aware of how they should live according to the Bible and accept Jesus into their hearts.Survivors include six brothers, Richard (Geri) Geffers, Ken (Pat) Geffers, Herbert (Fran) Geffers, David (Nancie) Geffers, all of Oshkosh; Donald (Sue) Geffers of Manitowish Waters; Gerald (Debbie) Geffers, Manitowoc; five sisters, Marlene Dreyer, Jean (Joe) Segar, all of Oshkosh; Joyce (Mike) Cowen, Murray, KY; Mary (Dave) Kind and Fran (Fred) Krueger, all of Oshkosh; and 43 nieces and nephews.Funeral services for Mike will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Eastside on Friday February 8, 2008 at 7:00 PM officiated by his brother, Pastor Richard Geffers. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 PM to the time of service. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
