Mildred Ruth Weitz

Mildred R. Weitz, 88, of Oshkosh died Tuesday December 23, 2008 at Lakeshore Manor. She was born September 5, 1920 in Oshkosh the daughter of Karl and Laura Koehn. Mildred married William Weitz on November 11, 1939 sharing 68 years together until his passing on October 1, 2007. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.Mildred is survived by two sons, William (Ilse) Weitz, and Dale (Sandy) Weitz; two daughters, Karen (Herb) Tesch, and Ellen Weitz all of Oshkosh; sisters, Margaret Schneider, Lorraine Bloechl; a brother, Carl Koehn, nine grandchildren, Mark Zellmer, Jasen (Michelle) Zellmer, Kelly Weitz, Sherri Weitz, Amy (Robin) Stibb, Jennifer (Jay) Wolff, Timothy (Kelly) Weitz, Rick (Dawn) Tesch, Sue (Steve) Kerrigan; thirteen great grandchildren, Makenna, Chloe and Emery Wolff, Ashley Geurts, Lola Weitz, Autumn and Hallie Zellmer, Jake Neubauer, Mariah, Alyah, Jenna, and Rebekah Tesch, and Gabriel Kerrigan, two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Koehn and Alvina Brandt; many nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband William, parents, Karl and Laura Koehn and brother, Melvin Koehn.Funeral services will be held Saturday December 27, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Peace Lutheran Church (240 W Ninth Ave) with Rev. Tim Greenwald officiating. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.Mildreds family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Lakeside Manor for their care and concern for Mildred.
