Mildred Zettler

Mildred H. Zettler, 99, of Oshkosh, died Monday May 22, 2006 at Evergreen Retirement Community-Creekview. She was born May 4, 1907 in Oshkosh, the daughter of Frank and Amanda Zager Donner. On June 23, 1934, she married Norman Zettler who preceded her in death on December 2, 1990.Mildred was a member of First English Lutheran Church and the Winnebago County Retired Educators Association. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and was a pioneer in the field of teaching and special education classes. During her career Mildred taught in Edgerton, Manitowoc, and at eight different schools in Oshkosh.She is survived by a sister Isabelle Wendt, a cousin, Corinne Kratz both of Oshkosh, a niece Karen Willis and her husband John, of Van Dyne and a cousin Jane Krause.Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 25, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-East with Rev. Chuck Fluegel officiating. One hour of visitation will be held prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
