Neoma Jayne Lines

Neoma J. Winkie Lines, 73 of Oshkosh passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born in Toluca, IL on July 15, 1934 a daughter of Edgar and Alice Foran Wink. She had been married Dick Christian. On March 17, 1984 she married Roger Lines in Madison, WI. The spent their winters in Ft. Meyers, FL.Jayne was a graduate of Valparaiso University, and earned a Masters Degree from MacMurray University. She had been a teacher in the public and private sectors and had also taught at Valparaiso University where she had coached the swimming team. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. She enjoyed golfing, reading, watching the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers, and knitting. She was well known for her generosity and caring. Jayne is survived by her husband, Roger Lines; a son, Dr. John (Cindy) Christian; step-sons, John (Cindy) Lines, and Jim Lines; step-daughters, Mary (Barry) Busby, and Kathy (Dr. Bob) Bechard all of Oshkosh; step-son, Tom (Mary Jane) Lines of Wisconsin Dells, WI; a sister, Betty Cords of Palatine, IL; eleven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She had been preceded in death by a son, Rick Christian and a sister, Judy Campbell.A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday June 22, 2008 at 5:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Marvin Ahlborn officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. Memorials have been established to the Trinity Lutheran Church and School; and to Valparaiso University.The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Aurora Medical Center-ICU; and to Drs. Wilson, Alzoubi, Freund for their compassionate care.
