Oscar Alex Kading

Oscar A. Kading, 90, of Oshkosh, died on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Bethel Home in Oshkosh. He was born on June 6, 1919 in the Town of Wittenberg the son of Christ and Olga Schroeder Kading. Oscar married LaVerne Curtis on November 9, 1940 in Tigerton. LaVerne preceded him in death on August 7, 2008.Mr. Kading was a member of First English Lutheran Church and in earlier years he was very active in the mens club at the church. Oscar worked at Oshkosh Truck Corp. for many years. He was very outgoing and enjoyed visiting with others, playing cards and bingo. Survivors include three sons, Kurtis (Carol) Kading of Oshkosh, Robert (Gale) Kading of Appleton, Ronald Kading of Potosi; four grandchildren, Scott (Deanna), Kristine, Kyle, Stephanie (Scott); five great grandchildren, Scott Jr., Shane, Amanda, Aidan, Blake; two sisters, Josie Bloecher of Wittenberg, Jessie Newman of Tigerton.He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one brother and one sister.The funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) with the Rev. Tim Greenwald officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to the time of Service. Burial will be in Lake View memorial Park.
