Patricia Ann Burr

April 18, 1927 — July 18, 2012

Patricia A. Burr, age 85, of Oshkosh passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at her home with her family at her side. Pat was born in Beaver Dam on April 18, 1927, a daughter of the late Richard Leo and Agnes (Starr) Neuman. She married Frank Burr at St. Peters Catholic Church in Beaver Dam on September 11, 1948. Pats life was centered around providing care to others, which brought her great joy. A 1948 graduate of Mercys School of Nursing she was proud of her career as a nurse at Mercy Medical Center and Evergreen Nursing Home and her time volunteering with the Red Cross blood drives. Pat loved spending time with her family, from running the family business with Frank to their cherished annual vacations to Little Silver Lake. Pat spent many childhood summers at Silver Lake with her family, the Neumans from Beaver Dam. This family tradition at Silver Lake carried on throughout her life with her children and grandchildren and has become the symbol of the simple meaning of family that was the center of Pats life. She enjoyed life to the fullest by spending special time with her nursing classmates, aerobic friends, family friends and neighbors. She was a fabulous knitter, baker, card player and gardener. She had the ability to make every person she met feel special. The world wont be the same without you in it Mom. There is no better way to describe her than as so many have said, Pat was and always will be a sweetheart.Survivors include her husband, Frank Burr of Oshkosh; six children,, Dennis (Judy) Burr of Rhinelander; Linda (Dave) Petit of Madison; Michael (Julie) Burr of Whitefish Bay; Steven (Patty) Burr of Sun Prairie; Barbara (Ron) Jaworski of Oshkosh; Kathleen (Dave) Peppler of Ripon; 16 grandchildren, Sabrina Burr, Phil Petit, Paul Petit, Jeannae Zeutzius, Matthew Burr, Marcella Burr, Jenna Burr, Adam Burr, Patrick Burr, Anna Burr, Ben Jaworski, Vicki Phillips, Dan Jaworski; Morgan Peppler, Lucas Peppler, Rachael Peppler, and two great grandchildren, Jenner Zeutzius and Syndey Zeutzius; one brother, Robert (Jude) Neuman of Milwaukee; one sister, Donna Neuman of Milwaukee and three sisters-in-law, Mary Neuman of Lodi; Marilyn Burr of Phoenix, AZ; and Helen Lord Burr of Oshkosh.
