Patricia "Pat" R Johnson

May 4, 1942 — July 30, 2021

Patricia “Pat” Johnson (Nee Scott) of Oshkosh, passed away on July 30, 2021 at the age of 79. Pat was born in Shorewood Wisconsin, daughter of Bert and Ruth (nee Hayek) Scott. Mother of Laurie Hocking, Scott (Mary) Hocking, stepson Jay (Valerie) Johnson, stepdaughter Kristin (Dave) Kaczmarek.

Grandchildren Zak, Chaz, Trevor, Brian, Ashley, Sarah, Alina and Logan. Pat is further survived by her sisters Kathy Scott and Mary Jane Hohler. She is preceded in death by her husband Jess and brother Richard.

Pat met the love of her life, Jess, while working at DePaul Hospital. On June 26, 1978, they were united in marriage. Together, they shared many adventures. It brings our family great comfort to know that they are together again.

Her battle with medical issues and Dementia in recent years took a toll on the person she once was. Those that knew Pat were very familiar with her spunk; she didn’t let anyone, or anything hold her back. She loved reading, exercise, painting, knitting, projects around the house, camping with her grandchildren, and taking her grandchildren shopping.

She was very involved in saving many historical buildings in the city of Neillsville, WI as part of the Neillsville Improvement Corporation. She actively helped with getting Downtown Neillsville declared a Historic District and helped with the expansion of the Neillsville Public Library. One of her favorite accomplishments was getting the home she lived in, the CC Sniteman House, declared a local landmark as well as a Wisconsin Historical Home.

Pat will be honored in a “Celebration of Life” on August 28, 2021 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at Calhoun Park 5400 S. Calhoun Rd., New Berlin WI. Picnic Shelter #3. Picnic lunch will be served.
