Patrick Boyce Holm

Patrick Boyce Holm was called home by the Good Lord Jesus on February 4, 2017. Obviously with spring training just around the corner God realized that his mother Beverly A. Holm would need some cheering support regarding the Cubs upcoming season. Can you imagine a better seat than the Bleachers of His Promise-Heaven? And not just for 108 years but for an eternity. The same for his other favorites the Packers and the Badgers.Pat was born in Marquette, Michigan in 1962, the second of the four boys of Beverly and William. A year later the family moved to Racine, Wi and Pats early character attributes were developed via family education and personal interests experiences. In 1969 the family was on the move again to Oshkosh, Wi. Mike and Pat now had a brother, Chris A.K.A. The White Tornado and all would soon meet the Oshkosh Edition-Kevin.Pat is survived by his very loved daughter Alexis (age 16), and her mother Janine Holm, brothers Michael(Heather), Christopher(Staci) and Kevin, father William Holm, niece Holly Holm, aunt Nancy Gentz, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Allys existence, with her love, personality and intellect has been a total joy and devotional super-plus to Pat. Sporting activities grabbed Pats attention early. At 6-7 years old he was taller and more physically mature than age-mates so football, basketball, softball, running came quite naturally to Lefty. This served him well throughout his athletic career at Franklin, Tipler, West and beyond. He won his age group Punt/Pass/Kick three straight years and he played football thru the 9th grade, basketball through high school including a summer camp or two at Notre Dame. The taller attribute stopped in 8th grade. Track became more of a focus in 7th and 8th grade and high school. As a sophomore sprinter Pat earned his varsity letter in the first five meets. He continued to participate in recreational sports including swimming, softball but took real enjoyment in playing tennis. Pat and now Judge Scott Woldt participated in a charity football(tackle) game in the State of Michigan.Pat always had a job(i.e. lawnmowing, paper route, Copps, etc) to balance his school and free time activities. A trip with Mike to their Uncles in Michigan via air plane was experience broadening. This broadening grew with family trips, high school graduation trip with a buddy to California, Vegas (with the family car). Later trips to Europe for both business and leisure were maturation highlights.As a graduate of Oshkosh West and UW-O business school it was time to go to work! Pat worked several years for Nelson Muffler in Stoughton, subsequently he returned to the Fox Valley and gained employment with different manufacturing firms. For the last five years he has immensely enjoyed working for a family owned firm-Fox Valley Metal Tech. He so respected and appreciated the owners, his superiors and his co-workers. Pat was serious when that was needed but such was always tempered with sensitivity, sincerity, generousity, wit, honesty, and enthusiasm. He Listened! A person in the company of Pat was not a stranger long. He employed the aforementioned talents to make a person feel very comfortable. This ability was practiced by him with his younger teammates, coworkers, immediate and wider family, and most everyone he would come in contact with. His seriousness melted into laughter, wit, enthusiasm, comraderie, and comfort for his audience. Because of Pats wishes to be an organ donor many people will benefit from Mr. Nice Guy.Thats our Pat-Mr Nice Guy- whose life we will celebrate, love, and honor forever! The Mr. Nice Guy who we miss already. The Mr. Nice guy who we know will join Bev, his grandparents Willard and Myrtle and Elsie and Walter in the Kingdom of Heaven. We are comforted and joyful that Mr. Nice Guy is free of any pain or sorrow and will be partaking in happiness with Bev and other relatives and friends for Eternity in Gods Promise, Heaven!A memorial service for Pat will be held on Saturday February 18, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service. In lieu of flowers an education fund for Pats daughter Ally will be established at West Pointe Bank.
