Penny Jean Hartmann

Penny Jean Hartmann, age 41 of Oshkosh, passed away on August 25, 2010 after a battle with cancer. Penny was born on October 14, 1968 to Gerald and Jacqueline May (Stokes) Weiss in Kalispell, Montana.Penny was a licensed practical nurse and worked at Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation. Penny's love for nursing showed in the great care that she gave to others. She was also passionate about gardening and her love for her family. Her courage throughout her illness has served as an inspiration. Penny touched the lives of all who knew her and she will be remembered for her gentle nature, beautiful smile, and positive outlook on life.Penny is survived by her husband, Darby; three daughters, Kimberli Andridge, Jessica (McDuffie) Moore, and Shelbi Swanger; son, Nathan Swanger; her parents, Gerald and Jacqueline Weiss; eleven brothers and sisters; and two grandchildren.At Penny's request there will be no memorial service. Penny requested that her life be celebrated, not mourned. In lieu of flowers, the family request that you consider donations to an educational fund for her children.
