Phyllis Jean (Zacharias) Griner, 81, of Oshkosh passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at St. Lukes Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born on December 6, 1927 to Lewis and Lorena Zacharias in Connersville, Indiana.On April 2, 1946 she married James B. Griner in Connersville and moved to Oshkosh in 1950. Phyllis had worked many places over the years including Miles Kimball and for Dr. Romberg. She was a member of the First Congregational Church. Her passions in life were her love of nature and her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Phyllis is survived by her children, Bonnie (David) Griner of Franksville, Marcy (Robert) Clark of Oshkosh, Theodore (Mary) Griner of St. Paul, MN, Rebecca (Steve) Robe of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Jamie Clark of Oshkosh, April (Dave) Rodriguez of Everett, WA, Adam Clark of Madison, Kiera and Sianna Robe both of Oshkosh. She is also survived by a sister, Betty Risch of Huntington, IN; and a nephew, Robert Griner of Anderson, IN.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James and an infant son, Dwight Timothy.A memorial service will be on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 7:00 PM at the First Congregational Church (137 Algoma) with the Rev. Christine Stack officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to the time of service. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
