Raymond Karl Yttre

August 28, 1961 — January 29, 2012

Raymond K. Yttre, 50, of Oshkosh died Sunday January 29, 2012 at his residence. He was born August 28, 1961 in Indianapolis, IN the son of Stanley and Eleanor (Jensen) Yttre. In his younger years, Ray was awarded the Pittsfield Citizen Award, was in the National Honor Society, and was a finalist for the National Olympiad Award. He received a mechanical engineer degree at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he was a member of the ACACIA Fraternity and had been employed at the Watervliet Arsenal. Ray was a kind and loving person always being trustworthy, thoughtful, and considerate. He was also fun loving and had a keen sense of humor. He is survived by his mother Eleanor H. Yttre of Oshkosh, a sister Mary J. (William F.) Regan of New Haven, Ct, a niece Katrina Regan of New Haven, CT, two aunts Cleo Yttre and Gertrude Jensen, and numerous cousins, especially cousin Barbara Engelman. He was preceded in death by his father Stanley. A funeral service for Ray will be held Friday February 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside, Rev. Jeffrey Knoll officiating. Visitation will be on Friday at the Waugoo Ave. funeral home from 10 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial is being established to the Oshkosh Public Library.
