Raymond "Ted" Hency

Raymond “Ted” Hency, age 81 of Wittenberg, passed away at Azura Memory Care of Oshkosh on Saturday, March 4, 2023. He was born in Frankfort, KY on August 10, 1941, to Raymond Hency and Reba Stockinger. Ted married Susan Purdy January 12, 1962, and had two daughters.

Ted retired from Presto Products in Appleton after 25 years of service. He was an avid deer hunter and Packer fan. Ted loved working in the garage, motorcycling, talking with the neighbors, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He was a talented woodworker whose family who will forever cherish his many handcrafted pieces that rest in their homes.

Ted is survived by his daughters, Holly (Bill) Fischer and April (Daniel) Shern; grandchildren, Susan (Mike) Hurst, April Wolff, Samuel Shern and Annabelle Shern; great-grandchildren, Blake, Audrey, Grace, Norah and Adrah; brother, Dale (Millie) Hency; stepsister, Judy (Patrick) Ongena.

In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his wife, Susan.

A memorial service for Ted will be held at Game Changer Ministries, 507 E. Vinal St. Wittenberg, WI 54499 on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 11:30 AM. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
