Richard C. Benski

Richard C. Benski, 84 of Oshkosh, died Saturday October 4, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Rothchild, WI on February 5, 1924 the son of John P. and Anna Kowalchyk Benaszeski. On May 21, 1979 he married Cora I. Hidde at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on September 18, 2007.Richard was a member of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church. He had been employed by the Pabst Brewing Co. in Milwaukee. He had served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He had belonged to the V.F.W. Posts in Milwaukee and Omro. He enjoyed fishing and hunting (especially deer and pheasant); and gardening.Richard is survived by a son, Yasha Dalheimer of Wausau, WI; four brothers, Leonard Benaszeski of Milwaukee, WI, Herman (Agnes) Benaszeski of Ringle, WI, Dennis Benaszeski of Mosinee, WI, David (Irene Arlene) of Mosinee, WI, and Leo Benaszeski of Schofield, WI; a sister, Josephine (Jerome) Ringwelski of Wausau, WI; sisters-in-law, Anna Benaszeski of Germantown, WI, and Pauline Teska of Theresa, WI; brothers-in-law, Clayton (Hollyce) Peck of Green Bay, WI, Dale (Mary) Peck of Pewaukee, WI, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Benaszeski and Sylvester Benski; and by a sister, Margaret Hess.His funeral will be Thursday October 9, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside with Fr. Doug LeCaptain officiating. Entombment will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park- Milwaukee. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
