Richard Dee Alexander

Dr. Richard Dee Alexander, D.D.S.,62, died July 5, 2006, at his home in Fond du Lac. A celebration of life will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, Westside location (Witzel Ave & Lake Pointe Dr.), in Oshkosh, WI, on Friday, July 14, at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm until the hour of service. There will also be a memorial service for his family and friends in Houston, TX, on August 5. He will be laid to rest next to his father in Evanston, Wyoming, at a later date.Dr. Alexander was born November 11, 1943, in Evanston, Wyoming, the fifth child of Henry Miles and Clara Mills Alexander. Interestingly enough, he was born on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month and weighed 11 pounds. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wyoming in Laramie and continued his post-graduate degree at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee in 1969. Having a love for learning and for his chosen profession, Dr. Alexander continued his education at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. He practiced general dentistry for 36 years and was the owner of Fox River Dental Associates in Berlin and Montello. Dick will always be remembered for his quick wit and charm. He loved entertaining his friends and family members with animated stories and jokes. He had innumerable talents which included cooking, dancing, singing, fishing, and woodworking. He appreciated all creatures great and small, but was particularly fond of dogs and horses. Valuing special times with family, he liked traveling and fine dining. A self-taught musician, he was able to play the piano, four-string banjo, and ukulele all by ear. He was also a lifelong and proud Green Bay Packer fan, cheering on the Green and Gold even in the lean years. In addition, he was a member of the Wisconsin Dental Association and the American Dental Association.He is survived by the loves of his life, his family, including his three devoted daughters and sons-in-law: Stefanie Cue Alexander and Brendan Wilson, Anchorage, Alaska; Joanna (Alexander) and Randy All, Jackson, WI, and precious grandson, Jacob Alexander Amundson; and Angela Dee (Alexander) and Gener Baldonado, Houston, TX; mother of his children, Natalie Cue Alexander of Oshkosh, WI; and siblings and spouses: Charles Chic Monroe and Bonnie Alexander, Corvallis, OR; and Sarah Jane and Terry Calvert of Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and his older brothers, Miles Jean and James Henry; and his in-laws, Virginia Lee and George Ward Cue. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in Dr. Alexanders name to be made to Mahalas Hope, W3619 Maple Road, Eden, WI 53019, or they may be sent or taken directly to the above named funeral home where they will be forwarded to this organization.
