Richard Lee Braasch

Richard Dick L. Braasch, age 78, of Oshkosh passed away at Aurora Medical Center on August 9, 2013. Dick was born in Oshkosh on July 13, 1935 to Harry & Lorraine Braasch. Dick graduated from Oshkosh High School on 1954. Dick married Patricia Leonard on 1956 at Martin Luther Church. He retired from Triangle Mfg. Dick served as past President of Sturgeon for Tomorrow West Central Chapter, Oshkosh. He also was a member to Hanks Club, Otter Street Fishing Club and Nickel A Model A Club. Over many years Dick built Sturgeon shanties, ice saws and spears. Dick loved to Sturgeon spear and fish Perch. Dick even restored his 1930 Model A truck and was presently restoring a 1930 Model A coupe. Dick was a great guy and loved to visit his shop and meet with many of his friends.Dick is preceded by his parents Harry & Lorraine Braasch, and in-laws James (Bernice) Leonard. He is survived by his wife Patricia, his brothers; Roger (Marion) of Omro, Ronald (Roxanne) of Oshkosh and Jerome (Mary) of Oshkosh, his sister Joyce (Robert) Miller of Anderson, S.C. and many nieces & nephews. Funeral services for Dick will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 11:00 A.M. at Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church with Revs Nathan Ericson and Jeffrey Berg officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, August 12, 2013 from 4-8 P.M. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) and Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. 11:00 A.M. at the church. Interment will be Brooks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.The family would like to thank Dr. Wilson, Dr. Alzubi and nurses; Jeff, Carrie, Tia and Aurora M.C. staff for taking such good care of Dick.
