Richard R. Reinke

June 5, 1943 — October 17, 2012

Richard Dick R. Reinke, 69, of Lake Park, GA passed away October 17, 2012, at Langdale Hospice House of Valdosta, GA after a short battle with liver cancer. He was born June 5, 1943 in Oshkosh, the only child of Mable and Edward Reinke. Dick retired from Rockwell International, in Oshkosh, after 30 years of service. He then moved to Southern Georgia with his wife, Brenda, to enjoy their retirement in 1995. He always enjoyed having collectable cars, especially older Corvettes. He loved going to car shows, swap meets, rummage sales, flea markets, and anywhere else he could find a bargain. Whether it was for himself or others, a good deal made him very happy. He was always looking for a project to work on to stay busy (hubcaps, brass National cash registers, Vogue picture records, license plates, and most recently for his findings, cleaning and reselling of almost 28,000 golf balls!) He also enjoyed helping other people find things they needed or couldnt find on their own. He is survived by his wife, Brenda of 46 years; two sons, Keith (Jenny) of Oshkosh and Craig of Pueblo, CO; and his special buddy, Jessica Brooks of Oshkosh. He is further survived by Nancy and David Mishlove of Chicago, IL, Ron and Sandy Harrison of Clayton, NC, Violet Harrison of San Diego, CA, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Raymond and Gladys Harrison; brother-in-law, Larry Harrison; and a niece Jennifer Deplewski. Per his wishes, he was cremated and a celebration of his life will be held on Friday December 21, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside. Richard always loved his pets so any donations made to the family will be given to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society.
