Richard Wayne Osborn

Richard W. "Oz" Osborn, 83, of Oshkosh, died at Mercy Medical Center on Monday, October 5, 2009. He was born on March 28, 1926 in Villisca, IA a son of the late Ned and Blanche (Winter) Osborn. On January 23, 1954 he married Margaret "Ketty" Ann Kier.Oz was an Associate Professor of Art at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, was a member of the Algoma Blvd. United Methodist Church and had served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was an active member of the Central Wisconsin Chapter of Trout Unlimited. Oz is survived by his wife, Margaret "Ketty" of Oshkosh; nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Osborn.Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside with military services to follow, the Rev. Barry Yarbro officiating. Visitation will be held at the Waugoo Ave. funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 PM and on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the service. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials in Richard's name may be made to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society, The American Red Cross, or the Central Wisconsin Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
