Robert Bob A. Steinhilber, age 93, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Bethel Home. He was born on February 13, 1923 to Charles and Matilda (Hoeft) Steinhilber in Oshkosh. He married Adeline Schmidt on August 11, 1951 in Oshkosh. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran having served our country during WWII, including a tour in London with the military police. For 38 years Bob drove bus for the city of Oshkosh, and was proud to say he went the whole time without a chargeable accident. He enjoyed traveling with Adeline on the many trips they had, including trips to Florida and Las Vegas. Bob was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Oshkosh for many years.Bob is survived by his wife: Adeline; sisters in law: Thelma Schmude, Geraldine Hudson-Miller, and Alice Grunske; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Carl (Polly) and Elmer (Bertha) Steinhilber; half brothers: Ed Steinhilber and Sylvester Hoeft; half sister: Leona Kersztyn; sisters in law: Verna (Irv) Wesenberg, Mildred Schmidt, and Jeanette Tudy (Zig) Lugoski; and brothers in law: Carlton (Carol) Schmidt, Norm Schmude, Alden Hudson, and Duwayne Grunske.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh, with Rev. Raymond Cox officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.The family would like to send a special thank you to Right at Homes Pam and the staff at Bethel Home for all the care they provided for Bob.The family would also like to send an extended special thank you to Bobs nieces Jan Fauk and Deb Hudson-Crawford for all the love and support they gave to him and Adeline.
