Robert Bob Gust Sanders

Bob (Boobie) G. Sanders, 78, of Oshkosh died Tuesday January 13, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born June 18, 1930 in Oshkosh the son of the late Ray and Adeline Pohl Sanders. Bob married Marie Schreiber on June 25, 1949 in Oshkosh. Bob was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ and was WWII Army veteran. He had worked at Meyer Sausage Co. for 40 years. Bob was a member of the Bay Shore Club, Midnight Club, and Past-Commodore of the South Side Ice Yacht Club. He was also an avid cribbage player. Survivors include his wife Marie of Oshkosh; a son Robert D. (Ann) Sanders of Oshkosh; two daughters Barbara (James) Goodwin of Oshkosh and Carole Sanders of Menasha; five grandchildren Tim, Lisa, Tina, Theresa, and Matthew; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Debra Drapp. A funeral service for Bob will be held Friday January 16, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Emmanuel U.C.C., Rev. Linda Kuhn officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 11 AM until the service. Interment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
