Robert C. Bunke

Robert Carl Bunke passed away March 20, 2021. He was 94 years old, having been born in Oshkosh, WI on November 24,1926, the son of Karl and Clara (Floether) Bunke. He married Charlotte V. Grundman on September 4, 1948. They shared 72 years together as husband and wife.
They have two sons, Ronald (Kay Ellen) Bunke of Omro, WI and Gary (Jan) Bunke of Oshkosh, WI. They have two grandchildren, Brielle (Jamie) Meisel of Oshkosh, WI and Jeffrey (Megan) Bunke of Neenah, WI.
Four great grandchildren, Abby, Evan, Avianna and Eisley, two step grandsons, Chad (Shelli) Bauldry and Chris Jacobson and two step great grandchildren, Hailey and Annaleah and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Brannon Bunke.
Bob was an advertising account executive for the Oshkosh Daily Northwestern for 37 years, having retired in December of 1988. He served 9 years in the U.S. Navy, 4 years of active duty during WWII and the Korean Conflict and 5 years in the reserves.
Bob was an avid sports fan watching the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. He enjoyed playing golf, cards and board games, with thousands of games of cribbage played over the years. Bob also enjoyed music having sung in church choirs and spent 15 years singing in the Oshkosh Barbershop Chorus.
He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church of Oshkosh.
Visitation will be at Konrad Behlman Funeral Home-Westside,100 Lake Point Drive on Saturday March 27, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with the service at 11:00am. Military honors will be presented immediately after the service. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh, WI
