Robert Carl Witzke

Robert C. Witzke, 87, of Oshkosh died Monday November 26, 2007 at Bethel Home. He was born October 7, 1920 in North Fond du Lac a son of the late George and Edith Simantzig Witzke Sr. Bob married Lorraine Toots Ruch on Oct. 7, 1949 in Oshkosh. She preceded him in death on March 31, 1997. Bob worked at A. I. McDermott Co. for many years. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran. Bob volunteered at the EAA, was active in church functions, especially Sunday School, and enjoyed golfing and dancing. His survivors include a special cousin Clyde Neuenfeldt of Oshkosh; a sister-in-law Doris Ruch of West Bend; a brother-in-law Carlton Ruch of Bryan, TX; and eleven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother George Witzke Jr., several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Memorial services for Robert will be held Friday November 30, 2007 at noon at Peace Lutheran Church, Rev. Ralph Hanusa officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 10 AM until the service. Inurnment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Bethel Home. Bobs family would like to thank the Bethel Home staff for their care of Bob.
