Robert Earl Rubin

Robert Earl Rubin, 76 of Oshkosh, died at his home on Wednesday, August 23, 2006. Robert was born in Oshkosh on December 27, 1929, a son of Earl M. and Ferne E. Bowen Rubin. He married Ella J. Prine on March 30, 1951, in Oshkosh. Ella preceded him in death on September 13, 2002.Robert served his country in the Navy, and retired from the City of Oshkosh Sanitation Department. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and a lifetime member of the Otter Street Fishing Club. Beside his love of fishing, Robert enjoyed the outdoors while deer and duck hunting.Survivors include one son, Daniel Rubin, of Oshkosh; and two grandsons, Robert J. Rubin, and Matthew J. Rubin, both of Oshkosh. Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Rubin. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 28, 2006 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church beginning at 1:00 PM, with Revs Paul Lidtke and Walter Moll officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from Noon to the time of service. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Park, with military honors by the United Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
