Robert Steven Koss

Robert Steven Koss Jr., 56, of Oshkosh, went to his eternal home to be with his Lord on May 11, 2011, after being diagnosed with cancer on March 20, 2009. Robert was born on December 6, 1954 in Oshkosh the son of Robert Steven Koss Sr. and Nancy Lee (Kittoe) Koss. Robert was in the first graduating class of Oshkosh North High School, in 1973. He was a 1981 graduate of University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, and a U. S. Navy veteran. He was a driver for Roberts Trucking and enjoyed watching movies and T. V. He was a Sci-Fi buff. Survivors include his parents, Robert and Nancy Koss of Oshkosh; sons, Samuel (Barb) Koss of Fond du Lac and Seth Koss, and Anthony Koss of Waupun; and their mother, Deborah Koss; granddaughter, Haley of Waupun; sisters, Kathleen (Ralph) Gantner, Cheryl (Thomas) Freiberg and Paula (Peter) Wenhardt all of Oshkosh, Lisa (Michael) Rhyner of Omro. Robert is also survived by his nieces, Angela (Justin) Abbott, Brittany Wenhardt, and Emily Wenhardt, and Tara Schwertfeger; nephews, Gregory (Vanessa) Gantner, Garry (Frances) Gantner, Nick Wenhardt, Ryan Koss, Tyler Rhyner, and Brett Rhyner; great-nephew, Ethan Abbott; and great-niece, Chloe Jowett. Robert was preceded in death by grandparents, Leroy and Eleanor Kittoe and Steven and Arcile Koss; uncle, Steven Koss; aunt, Florence Polly Koss; nephews, Kent D. Freiberg and Matthew T. Freiberg.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside). Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A special thank you to Mercy Medical Center, Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology, Bethel Home and Affinity Hospice for the compassionate care and understanding that Bob received from every staff member encounter, as well as how much the staff helped the family.
