Roger Lawrence Wilber

Roger L. Wilber, 74, of the Town of Nekimi, died on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Aurora Medical Center. He was born December 19, 1937 in Wisconsin a son of the late Franklin and Alta Wilber. Roger married Darlene Spiering on July 17, 1965 at St. Johns Lutheran Church-Town of Nekimi. Roger was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church-Town of Nekimi, he was a U.S. Army veteran, and he had worked at Universal Foundry for over 25 years. Roger is survived by his wife Darlene of the Town of Nekimi; a son James (Connie) Wilber of Oshkosh; a daughter Lisa (Robert) Convery of Oshkosh; three grandchildren Brooke (Daniel) DeRoo, Keegan Wilber, and Lacie Wilber; a great-granddaughter Peighton DeRoo; siblings George Wilber, Maynard Wilber, Beverly Wilber, and Beulah (Verlyn) Spreeman; and sisters-in-law Doris Wilber, Loretta Wilber, Sylvia Wilber, Carla Wilber, Sharon (Lee) Schuhart, Shirley (Ron) Potratz, and Betty (Lennard) Leichtfuss. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by siblings Barbara Miller, Gene Wilber, David Wilber, Franklin Wilber Jr., Earl Wilber, and M. Bernard Wilber; sisters-in-law Marcella Wilber and Karen Spiering; and brothers-in-law LaRoy Miller and Howard Spiering. A funeral service for Roger will be held Sunday March 4, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Johns Lutheran Church-Town of Nekimi, Rev. James Reiff officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the service. Burial will be in St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery following the service.Rogers family would like to thank the staff at Aurora Medical Center and Aurora VNA for all the care and help he was given.
