Rolland Lyle Felix

Rolland L. Felix, 86, of Wild Rose formerly of Oshkosh, died on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at Wild Rose Community Hospital. Rolland was born on May 29, 1919 in Oshkosh the son of Mark LaRoy and Cora Mae Patten Felix. He married Irene G. Smoody on March 16, 1941 in Oshkosh.Mr. Felix was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Redgranite and the church mens club, and a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Oshkosh. Rolland was an electrician in Oshkosh; then electrical inspector for the City of Oshkosh for over 22 years. He also taught electrical code classes at the Oshkosh Technical College. Mr. Felix was a Navy Veteran serving in the western Pacific on the minesweeper, USS Pinnacle. Rolland enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, traveling and playing cards.Survivors include his wife, Irene of Wild Rose; four children, Lyle (Jackie) Felix of Appleton, Fred (Eva) Felix of Hazelhurst, Karen S. (Leon) Allen-Romens of Wautoma, Gerald (Lori) Felix of Oshkosh; seventeen grandchildren, Mark (Vicky) Felix, David (Bobbie) Felix, Pamela (Ross) Wyland, Sharon, Lisa and Sarah Felix, Teri (Alec) Jones, Lori (Scott) Wieck, Lisa (James) Behlman, Carrie, Jason, Jerod, Eric and McKenzie Felix, Bonnie (Peter) Randa, Hannah Covington and Cassie Covington and twenty-five great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Kenneth, Darrell and Arnold Felix and two sisters, Beulah Sennholz and Marrette Baier.The funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) with the Rev. Greg Sluke officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 10:00 AM to the time of the service. Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.Rolland was a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather and all around great person who will be greatly missed by all.
